Red cordial

I have heard about the use of red cordial for birds,seems like there is some truth in it.

did it mention a mixing ratio cordial to water or just wing it and go the old 5 ml per litre

Yes i've heard of it and often use it as a sweetener when worming in the drinking water to disguise taste as well as to kill bugs. The dosage doesn't really matter so long as the water turns a light pinky colour. For pigs they buy in bulk but would be a fairly strong dose for them.
I buy it for the grand kids but little do they know that there is a method in my madness, i also have raspberry jam on my toast cause it tastes good.

They were using at mines for our potable water but once tests were done it would need to be in extremely high dosage rates to work. .now they use electronic ones to fix the bugs...

Saw somewhere, can't recall where, the theory that too much artificial raspberry flavouring can bring on a condition whereby the sufferer imagines seeing small square-like shapes, containing the letters 's', 'e', 'p' in random order
Sounds like rubbish to me . . but who am I to disagree with eminent members of the scientific community
