I have only used it in their water dishes. As i bought a litre out of date cheap. And my waterers hold 4 litres each.It was harder to mix in the water than others. And would need to be watered down for crop drenching.I prefer to crop drench with avitrol. And use Moxidectin externally.

Have not used it But it has the same active ingrediants as Avitrol plus Levamisole hydrochloride 10 mg/mL, praziquantel 2 mg/mL. Which does all worms.

Have just been on the phone this morning talking to someone @ Aust Pigeon about moxidectin.

I have been told by Aust Pigeon that treatments are as follows
1st treatment
3 weeks later = 2nd treatment

Repeat treatment cycle every 2 months

I explained that my birds were due to be treated again but I had 10 day old and 14 days chicks in one aviary. The lady said not to treat those birds that are feeding young. Young must be feeding independently before moxidectin is administered.

did they give a reason for not treating birds that are feeding young or just say not to do it.
a couple of times now I have treated my birds only to have young birds fledge a few days later that I didnt know were there.
doesnt appear to have caused any harm (touch wood)

No didnt give a reason, just said they should be feeding independently. Probably just as a safety precaution. The way I see it if the parent birds have been treated on a regular basis they would absorbed it into their system and therefore the babies would be getting some anyway.
