I am currently seeking expressions of interest from aviculturists who are interested in sharing their knowledge with the wider avicultural community, to write an article for the new finches and softbills magazine. You do not have to be an experienced aviculturist to write an article, but being passionate about birds is a must.
There will be no set topics, so you may submit articles on topics of your choice. I am especially seeking articles on, but not limited to, some of the following topics:
• Profiles - Species Specific (for both finches and softbills)
• Breeder's Profiles – Australian and Junior
• Nutrition
• Housing
• Health
• Enrichment
• Issues surrounding finch and softbill aviculture in Australia
• Regulatory updates
• Conference / conventions reviews
• Research and conservation projects
All articles must be directly related to finches and/or softbills, and must comply with the article guidelines. Articles may include photographs, diagrams, tables and graphs. The closing date for articles for publication in the magazine’s first issue is 22 December 2017, and for the second issue, the closing date is 23 February 2018.
