This Grass [Eragrostis Elongata ] also called Native Lavender Grass is mentioned by Don Burke as a good grass/small shrub for Finches.
I can find reference to it but nowhere to buy seeds to grow it.Do any members have it and if so could I aquire some seeds
from you. Happy to pay for seeds plus postage.

Cheers.

Hi, I have checked out a heap of sites, the only ones that listed it seemed to be commercial type landscapers
and none were interested in supplying me with a small amount of seeds.
I was hopeing that some one on the Forum had it growing and could send some seeds to me.

Cheers

Greg, other than WA i think you could have problems importing seeds from other states. Craig

Greg sorry to say we here in WA get shot by the authorities for importing seeds or cuttings from the eastern states. Or I would have a wonderful collection of Stapelias (beautiful suculents)

Not all seeds are restricted. If you take the time to check you may be surprised by what is allowed into WA.
Some companies just can't be bothered, others work off the list of what is and isn't allowed.
I have got packets of: Chicory Coffee,Chinese Cabbage,Danelion Chicory, Wild Chichory,Slave Cabbage,Barnyard Grass,Chickweed, just to name those I can remember.I recently purchased two live catch type rat traps from China and included in each one was a packet of some type of seed to
use as bait.
