Just had a short but savage thunderstorm in Melbourne on a 30 deg day and my five usually langourous Gouldian’s suddenly sparked up and in activity terms they out zebbied the zebs. Perhaps a genetic memory of the northern wet season?

Mmm.....interesting mate, as many state that it's the start of the wet season that seems to trigger off many Australian finches

I suppose if yer get much more rain and short storms etc yer might hopefully get some encouragement from yer birds to wanna start breeding unless they already are :D

Be lucky

Fingers crossed for you having a bumper breeding season after this.
