Zebra mutatiom

Hi guys,

Can any body please help me with the below guy and let me know what mutation he may be :)

Hi Luke,

Looks like to me that you have a real 'bitza' there ( a bit of this & a bit of that ).

It's definitely pied, but I'm also seeing Grizzle & Isabel, in a blue/slate form ( arguable ). The fawn under-tail coverts are interesting.

Sadly its not what I would consider a new mutation.

Whatever he is, have fun with him.

As Ian says. A bit different but with definate fawn pied. Do you know, can you show pics of, the parents?

Despite the cheek patches, that is a female. Grizzle pied Isabelle.

All of my female Isabelles have the distinctive cheek patches like that.

The male Isabelle next to her has a darker cheek patch, dark red beak, chest bars, and probably has spots on its flanks.

The female has none of these, other than the dilute cheek patch and spotless dilute flanks (which is a common feature in female Isabelles and female red's).

Your finch is a pied showing characteristics of grizzled and maybe a bit of CFW.

It's an Isabel like its mate next to it.
