Nice strawberries Jack ,mine destroyed the leb cucumber a few weeks back when they first had the young in the nest,then moved into full swing with the maggots,cheers garyh

it seems the corn gets ignored?
what else is in the aviary that likes it?
I have heard some say they open it up for them, then it gets eaten.
your birds are obviously spoilt for choice.....keep up the good work.

seriously, how are your birds meant to eat that corn on the cob? You don't have any corn forks for them to use :)

I run a knife down the centre of each row of corn kernals so they can get to the milk & seed inside - Singers love it. With the cucumber, I cut mine once more long ways so the birds get better access to it - so it looks more like like a wedge, or cut in quarters length ways.

....and already mentioned, the birds look terrific & the photo's are spot on.

The corn was put in just before the pic was taken,by days end all of it will be consumed.
Nearly all my birds will eat it,Pictorellas,Tri PF,Siskins,Strawbs,Fires etc,the only ones that don't give it a go are the Gouldians.

This is what is left at he end of the day.I microwave the corn for 90 seconds to soften it.
