the perfect place

Hi all,last weekend i travelled up to Brisbane being a long weekend in melbourne ,had a great time on Morton bay,weather was perfect,consistently warm ,seeding grasses everywhere i looked,so i thought to my self is this the most perfect place to breed birds, it seemed ideal,what do others think,is there a better place,cheers garyh

Yes Mick a couple of nice gummy sharks so that was on the menu,it was a 45 ft boat that sleeps 6 so not really a fishing boat,ah friends you just gotta love um,cheers garyh

Childers better

but I'm prejudiced...best beach's too ...not many people know we are close to one of best beaches in Qld and can still 4wd on most of it

plus not far from Hervey Bay and Great Sandy Straits...life is good

We were hoping to head further north but the wind was against us,dont know if we would have got to childers,going to write down some places to go to next time we get the chance,thanks for the info, childers tick,yes Mich had 6 but they threw out 2 ,i think the nest was to big ,anyway 4 on the perch from that pair and more in other nests,and 3 more strawbs out last monday,cheers garyh

I guess the perfect place is an individual opinion.
It would surprise many if they became aware of how many southerners actually moved up
only to return back after a short time(many stay though as well).
Having visited well above Brisbane many times my conclusion, great for a holiday but not for
me to live in.
I was surprised how much protection and other safe guards were put in place with regard aviary
protection. Not to protect from the cold but other massive weather conditions.
I am happy here on the NSW/Vic border but the climate just north of Sydney would be hard to beat.
