Hi and welcome to the forum Kevin.

Countryside around Newcastle is very pretty, lived there for a while about 20 years ago.

thanks everyone..its nice to be so welcomed.....
I keep mainly aussie finches but recently bought a pair of tri coloured parrot finches...they are really stunning birds and fit very well into a mixed collection...others I have are stars (red) gouldians. painteds, long tails. white eared, masks red browed, pictorellas...i hope to add plum heads and diamond firetails soon......
there are a large number of very knowledgable people in the hunter valley and i belong to the hunter branch of the finch society of australia...i consider that to be a big plus for me
