Has anyone on the forum come across this coloration before? My local bird shop is selling Gouldians some of which appear to have half purple half white breasts. It seemed as though it was only the cock birds that had this variation.

Not the greatest of pictures but you can get the general appearance from the black headed cock at the back.

Seen it a few times. Just a variation of the "dirty" colour on white-breasted Gouldians.

seen this before also,seem to be a bit melanistic,dont breed well ,i would not buy these birds,cheers garyh
