For those who have a large planted aviary (3x3m) what do you use or how do you catch your birds, nets in my case are out of the question, too old & too slow Lol

I use a trap. The flap is connected to the big perch, which has a string tied to its other end. When the string is pulled—from outside the aviary—it pulls the perch, which in turn drops the flap and traps the birds.

Do they get wary or suspect of it after it has been used a couple of times, or is it the young ones that fall for whats inside it mostly.

I use a hand net in 6.4x3.2m planted aviaries.
If birds are always fed in a trap they can't afford to be too wary of going into it regularly.

I use a net, but heard them into the safety door area for easier catching. All avairys built onto a safety area so not too bad. Though the bird you most want to catch will be the one most reluctent to go into the catching area. Catching with a net is sometimes more about experience than age. My mother can out catch me any day and she is in her 80's

This is what I use, it is set all the time meaning I can catch anytime the ones I want. Originally I had a catching area where they were herded and caught, I find this less stressful on the birds and me.
