If they don't carry other split genes (probably an unlikely assumption).
In relation to marked white, young marked white hens & split to marked white males.
re: the fawn Fawn mutation, young will be split fawn males & normal hens.
re: Charcoal, all young split to charcoal in both sexes.
Add that all together (plus any other split recessive genes) and that's what you get.

All young hens will be marked white split to charcoal
Males normal phenotype split to marked white, fawn & charcoal.

Hi Tiaris,
thanks for the reply.
sorry new to all this, can you please explain your last comment. Males normal phenotype.....do you mean they will be normal grey in color?
Thanks

That is indead what T is saying. Zebs are great for breeding mutations. But few are only what they appear to be. Or my breeding plans would be so much simpler. Enjoy

Thanks!
So how do i get marked white males as off spring. Do i need to use a female Marked White. I know its sex linked gene, so is it on the female side?
Cheers

Pairing marked white females to split marked white males will produce marked white and normal looking young in both sexes (normal looking males will be split to MW). Or MW to MW will produce all MW.
