Just wanted peoples thoughts on trio breeding of cordons is it a good idea I have a spare hen

Sounds like a good idea, but I seriously doubt it would work. Cordons have a very strong pair bond and I haven't heard of any polygamous behaviour in any of the Blue waxbills.

Never heard of this working. As Tiaris says, they tend to have a very strong and affectionate pair bond.

That being said, If you have a surplus of cordon hens, you could always give it a shot.
