Is more merrier ?

I have 5 white rumped Double Bars, 4 from the same nest that fledged earlier this year and an older unrelated cock bird (fledged early 2017)
Sadly only a single hen from the young birds :(

Just the one aviary, 4mx4m , so plenty of room for the 5 birds
Should I place her with just the unrelated cock (and leave her brothers out) or put them all in and let her chose ??

Cheers
Brett

I think that you probably already know the answer . .

Unrelated pair with no extras IMO.

Can you put them next door so they still feel like a flock? That will give you and them the best of both worlds.

That may prevent the unrelated pair bonding - I wouldn't.

Fair enough, was just thinking that they like to be in a flock. And that once she realised that only one was showing her to a nest she would go for him.
