I would suggest a cock bird by band width on head and also white between the the bars. If you stand back out of sight and listen to see if it sings will prove it's a male if it does. imo

That's what I suspected - someone has it for sale so I can't compare, so damn hard to find a female.
Craig52 I know it's bloody near impossable to tell, but with the male is the colour between the bars white.
