White eared masked at the Swan Hill sale today.
$130 per pair.
Bit of a bargain I think.
Also Yellowrumps for $100 per pair.
Few other types of finches as well.

Many years ago Swan Hill used to be the finch breeders paradise in Vic where the harder to get or breed finches were available for sale and usually at reasonable prices. I bought my first Dowbousky ??? twinspots at a very reasonable price among other finches including WE masks.
That's a great price for WE's but if they not DNA'd you could end up with just cock birds to the untrained eye. Craig

Longtails, both yellow and red billef and also double bars were in surprisingly short supply.
Only foreign finches of note were a pair of blue caps.
White ears were all this seasons birds. At the price they were willong to take the chance on their sex. Will get them DNA'd to make sure.
