a butcher bird came into garage and took left eye of my finch girl..fifteen years ago a baby snake swallowed four of my finches and vomited back four..and left them on window sill outside my kitchen ..I can't believe I took a second chance after so long..miderable

Hi and welcome to the forum
How is your finch now?
I'm assuming stressed and freaked out but is she still alive?
If you have problems with snakes and butcher birds, you can buy mouse wire and put that over the normal wire. Mouse wire has 6mm square mesh and snakes, mice and butcher birds can't get through the wire.

So sorry to hear that you have been plagued with bad luck. But look at it as a challenge. How can you and the finches triumph over the butcher birds and snakes? Can you post a picture of your avairy/cage setup? So members can give you the best possible advice on how to beat the predators and enjoy your finches.

G'day, welcome to the forum, sorry it's on such a sad note though
I have an Orange Breast cock bird with only one leg caused by the butcherbird at home, be he still manages to produce fertile eggs, he's a little trooper
