Cock has changed hens

Is this unusual? A few months ago he had 2 clutches and last month had another clutch with a different hen. The original hen is still in the same aviary.

Gouldian cocks are monogamists, if there is another hen he likes he will want to do his thing. Some hens can lay their eggs in another hens nest just because they can to avoid doing the parenting job. Two nests of young for one hen is just about enough for a season so she wouldn't even care what the cock bird is doing.
It is also the end of the season for gouldians, they should be starting to moult or getting ready to moult so the original hen is probably in that stage and doesn't want a pesty cock birds advances.

One year a cock bird of Mothers, put down one hen then another then back to the first. He was being so disruptive he was moved to another avairy where he promptly put down another hen. Yes he earned the nickname casanova. Birds are like people most are gentlemen some are - well you get the idea.
