There are a couple hanging around, but you will need to ask around
Mostly there are splits hanging around and readily available if you know where to look
Thanks

I've heard of a few breeding lutino BFPFs, but there aren't very many.

The last two comments sound very dismal but i can tell you that there is a lot being bred here in Vic and the mid North Coast of NSW in particular Tamworth but i can't give out names.
The birds are top quality, better than they used to be and are being sold in the above areas in particular bird sales so you might know someone in that area to contact or contact the Finch Society of Australia in Sydney as most are members.

Hi,

I found this odd mutation online, that is labeled "lutino" but has speckled black and blue, unlike any other lutinos I've seen. At the bottom, it is labeled
"Copyright Russell Kingston - INDRUS Productions, Australia". Possibly featured in his book somehow? Can anyone shed light on this mutation?

Yes that is the grizzle pied that were around 20 years ago but has seem to have disappeared. I think there was fertility problems with them but in saying that some are trying to get light pieds going from odd birds with a yellow feather.

There are no dark flecks in the Lutinos today, yellow body, white face and pink above the tail.
There are enough now to keep them going if people are sensible . Being able to introduce normal
hens definitely helps.

Let's all just hope they don't go the way of the Golden Chestnut and Pied Double Bars
Thanks
