Just guessing but, could he be a split aussie yellow? They often have the yellower back of the neck like he has. I would certainly be keeping him to breed from, and see what I got. What state are you in?

Yellow rump mutation originates from South Africa quite a stunning mutation not sure on genetics off it tho
