Hi All, thanks for the add. Just started my journey with Gouldians but seems not the right time as temperature started to drop below 10.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Probably not the best time to start with Gouldians; but now you have something to look forward to for next year.

Welcome to the forum.
The main problem with Gouldians is that they are intolerant to any drafts coming into the cage/aviary when the temperature gets cooler as they have minimal if any under feathers to protect them against the cold. They do not roost in nest boxes of a night unless they have eggs/young and even then only one of the pair does. They do best in covered/sheltered aviaries at this time of year which by the way, is bang in the middle of their breeding season, and having them face north is a bonus as they get a heap of sunlight/warmth as the sun gets lower in the sky. I personally use removable perspex sheeting which I remove of a morning and replace each afternoon. The aviary is north facing, covered and draft free and I have minimal problems. Hope this of some help and good luck with them.
