Watching the young gouldians I have noticed different coloured tipped beaks, some yellow, some black and some red, but the colour on the beak dosnt always match the head colour. Any info on this anyone?

righto here i go. blacked headed goulds can have both red and yellow bills. red only red and yellow only yellow. its pretty common to have both colours in the black heads but the red is the most dominant. hens will have black bills depending how old they are when they are in breeding condition....pete

Thanks Pete, I will check out the head/beak colours and match up their breeding and see if the parent head/beak colour has a bearing on this. These babies havent got much colour on them yet so I will see how they go.
