Hi, I am talking to a guy selling split pied seagreens pairs from different parents . The offspring are visually normal looking seagreens.

But I ask him for photos and he says they fly too fast and he can't get any .

So I ask him about the parents and he said they are all pied... as in males and females

I was under the impression if both parents are pied.. shouldn't all the offspring be pied as well ..

If the parents are light pieds it's very possible so will the offspring be. If the birds you bought are young they will acquire pied every time they moult out each year. Pied in RFPF is very hit and miss and some young won't even acquire pied feathers so to be honest there is no such thing as split pied in RFPF's as they either get it or don't. It's a Dominant pied mutation that some get and some don't but one pied feather is a sign that they did.

There can’t be split sea greens as I bred a normal RFP and a sea green and got one sea green and one normal bird. I breed pieds and get either pieds or normals. So if the parents are sea green then the chicks will be either sea green or normal.
