I got this bird from a belgian breeder. Could you see any similiarity with your AYs?

Looking at it, I would say it is a Grizzled pied. Yes there are some similarities to the Australian Yellow in colouring. But the markings are much less tidy.

My opinion.... its a half sider.

Never seen a grizzled pied in Gouldians before. But it looks like the same effect as grizzled pied in other finches. More pics to tell if it is a half sider. But many pieds are not that even in their markings re one side = the other.

I don't believe it is a pied but yes maybe a half sider. Pied should be a full white or yellow feather with no other colour in it so most likely a dietary deficiency or a liver problem. imo
