I would be interested in that if people would like to contribute. We could call it the Aussie finch forum guide to finches and softbills.

I read your article Noah and did not know anything about the Javan munia. They look hard to bred true birds. I think it is fantastic that you are trying to bred true birds to colour of the Javan munia so they are not lost to Australian avairculture.

The only munias that I bred are the chestnut breasted munias. I like them but as a group they can bully smaller. Finches so best kept to finches around the same size.

Thankyou mate. Lots of work to get the pure birds back to a sustainable state, 1 step forward 2 steps back at times but last week I had 6 or 7 young ones fledge from 2 nests which I'm extremely happy with and I'm hoping theres some good looking youngin's in there too. They are pretty cool birds when they behave themselves!

Give it a couple of years and we will all be ordering "The Aussie finch forum guide to finches and softbills." and requesting Autographed copies.
