was removing nests from the aviary for cleaning before spring when I found 5 newly fledged birds hiding under a feathergrass plant.
didnt think these guys were nesting as they had eased up on the mealworms and greenfood.
surprises like this are always nice to find

Mine have got 4 nests on the go. They just won't stop building.
I have no live food out at the moment to rest them but they won't stop.
Well done Mick that was a nice surprise.
Have you been feeding them live food all through the winter?
