Good day all.
I'm new to trying a Fly box for maggots
When one say "flush" or "clean" there maggots what do they mean do they give clean Bran with something in it to clean out maggots or do they simply rinse them off?

I believe when maggots were hatched using meat they possibly flushed them with bran , but I dont believe it is required if breeding them in bran and milk, at any rate I dont and the birds devour them.

There are some species that need maggots cleaned out in fresh dry bran for at least 8hrs. These are birds that have generally been fed termites or raised on termites. The main species is blue capped waxbill as experience has shown young end up with caked vents due to diarea.
Other than that all the maggots are fed out after the growing medium turned brown and dry any excess should be stored in fresh dry bran and refrigerated at the minimum highest temperature.
