Are you saying yellow against red bill.
I really don't know what you are asking.

I bought a small colony of Blackhearts x8 yellow beak when I got them they started breeding almost instantly I was asked to look after them & not to mix with the hex red beak as the red is more dominant & if they cross breed the yellow will breed out & I would eventually have all reds is this true may be but I intend to keep them pure I have Blackhearts in 1 aviary & parsons in another so no room for other close relatives

Unfortunately the information you have been given is quite inaccurate accept for keeping them apart.

The red beaked Hecks (Poephila acuticauda hecki) is a subspecies of the Blackheart (Poephila acuticauda acuticauda).

One is not a colour mutation of the other so there is no question of dominance.

All breeding them together creates are young birds that are of no useful value as they are neither one or the other and never will be.

So keeping them in individual aviaries as you are doing is the right approach.

Successful breeding.

As Alf said above, when they cross the young end up having various shades of orange beaks. Some say the yellow bill is dominant but I don't believe that.
