What do you mean by the cock must be a split to blue?

To get Silver both parent must be split to blue as it is impossible if one only is to get a silver. As said earlier a silver is two mutations combined, Euro yellow and blue. The yellow mutation makes the blue mutation whitish or light grey.

Did they molt into adult plumage? I would like to see their adult colors.

I thought the dark one was a blue back ( No euro yellow + DF blue mutation ) instead of pastel ( male SF sex-linked Euro yellow + DF blue mutation ) , what did it grow into?

P.S. I rarely see pics of silvers, is it normal for the beads to still have some pale blue as the one pictured above? Or will it turn-out to be ( male ) pastel?
