Hi Guys.

I am after some advise.

I have a pair of Emblema .. (i think) i have wondered if they are both in fact female since i received them, perhaps 6 months ago.

around 15 days ago i noticed they were sitting on 4 eggs. The Mum? does not ever leave the nest and often both Emblema are sitting in there together.

Today i was able to see the eggs as both Emblema left the cage when i was refilling their water.

The eggs look the same as when i first seen them, but with less 'liquid' in them than usual. I assume they are infertile?

My question, At what stage do i remove the eggs? I have not yet candles them as i did not want to interfere and as mentioned they are often both sitting on the eggs.

If they were fertile they would have hatched at around 15 days so it seems they are not. Fertile eggs at 10 days go a dark bluish colour. A pic of the two would confirm if you have a pr or not.

I have asked on here previously opinions on their sex however got varying answers.

Here is some pics from this morning - apologies it’s overcast here today so they are not the best. I had to really coax the mum? Out of the nest. Pic of her eggs today also.

Obviously I’d love to be confident in their sex also however would like to know if I should remove the eggs?

Eggs are clear and they look like a pair

1. The eggs look clear.
2. Mum is a hen
3. Dad is either a male or a very well marked hen.
4. Remove the eggs and let them go again - may just have been out of sync.
