Double Bars lo looseing breast feathers.

A couple of my Double Bars have lost a lot of feathers from their breasts. They have just finished breeding and rearing 4 young. Do I worry about this or do I wait it out and see.

I wouldn't worry about to much. It's probably from a strenuous breeding season and through a rather warm Summer so now is the time for the moult out. Others might say mites but I don't think so. Give them another month to see how they are going.

I've seen this so many times. I think it's just a problem that affects a certain small percentage of double bars.
