Anyone know anything about the genetics of these?
e.g. sex linked?
I would not have thought so, but interested due to a recent discussion.

I didn't know they existed fb. All the Parson mutations we have here have plum eyes and the mutation was developed from red eye albino long tails that just appeared here in Australia.
Always thought red eyes to be sexlinked recessive. Our black eye yellow tricolour parrot finch is autosomal recessive.

What I have been told is that these birds turned up out of red eyed cream sex linked birds, but that they definately have black eyes and absolutely no cream markings like the parents. Hope to view them very soon, as only verbal so far.

Well that was good and disappointing.
They are sex linked albinos.
Had a look and a very interesting discussion re genetics.

Oh ok, do they have red eyes or not. Being albino they should have.

Yes they do. The partner of the owner (I initially spoke with her) thought they were black eyed.
But once I saw them and talked to the owner himself, it became obvious that he knew what they were and she did not.
