Escaped gouldian finch

Our favourite finch Jackie has escaped about 2 hours ago. Any tips to entice him to return? He was in the neighbours gigantic mango tree for the first hour but no sign of him now. It's very windy and there's preditor birds flying around alot today. My family is devastated

Put out food in a small cage near his avairy - have a string holding the door open held some distance away with a brick - so you can let it drop when he goes in.
When small birds are out of catching range and the weather is not too cold - gently sprinkle water on them from above with a hose - like rain - but keep it up till they get too wet to fly and come to ground. You will then need to put them in a fully enclosed dry place with warmth to dry out. After gently patting the worse of the wetness away with a hand towel.
