Gouldian diet

Hi can anybody tell me if Gouldian finches can eat Niger seeds and sunflower hearts? U. K. Gouldian keeper!

Gouldians here in Australia won't touch Niger seed but they have a go at crushed sunflower kernels but bare in mind they are both very fattening seeds due to there oil content. Heavy birds become lazy and have no desire to breed. Best seeds are all the different millets and a little canary seed.
