Perch Question

Hi all,

I am treating my two feathered friends for possible mites with Moxidectin T in their water, wondering if I also need to somehow treat the wooden natural branch perches I have in their cage? And if yes what would be the best way to do this?

Thanks ! :)

I use natural perches, like the one at the top of your cage.
When I medicate my birds, I chuck the old perches in the fire and replace with fresh cut ones.
Before I did this, I used to have a supply of spares, and take the current ones out and replace with the spares.
This meant that perches would be out and away from the birds for 4/6 month intervals. During that time they were stored in full sunlight to kill bugs.
