finally saw the back of my societies today :D nice birds but no challenge to breeding them and I never used them to foster.
got two male yellow stars as a swap for 10 societies, a great deal from my side of the fence. my previous males died a couple of months ago

totally agree , no use keeping them if you dont get any enjoyment .....didnt want mine any more till I needed a foster family so now will always have 1 pair ..
Never see mine always in the nest , but not on eggs ....theyre happy doing the parent thing.

I must be holding my mouth wrong. Can't get them to breed.
Mind you I suspect that the fact that every bird I look at seems to be dancing could be the problem.
I have had luck in the past and will not give up on getting them going again. Never use them for fostering. Just want to have a bit of fun with the colours. Breeding the less common colours appeals to me.
