Hi! I'm (obviously) new here; I kept zebra finches in an aviary as a kid, but that was a loooong time ago.

My partner and I are thinking about building an aviary at our place, probably with star finches to start with, but we're taking our time planning to make sure we can look after the birds properly. So I'm here to do my research and hopefully not ask too many silly ques.

Lots of great info to read here.
But questions are also most welcome.
I think a lot of us started with Zebs back in the day.
Some of us are still enamoured of them, along with our other finchy interests.

Thanks finchbreeder! Zebras are adorable; I love their tiny peeping calls. I just want to branch out a bit - we have so many lovely native finches

I work on the have more avairies and spread them arround policy.
Hubby unfortunately thinks at 4 avairies I have enough.
