Just found this, its a link to making nests from cardboard. The site has some other interesting stuff too, esp for anyone who likes diamond doves and zebras.

Very interesting and practical way of making nests.
As for some of the things he is doing with dove/pigeon genetics. I would strongly recommend the purists who don't approve do not look. I who like different coloured doves were strongly repelled at the encouragement of deffect breeding.

A lot of the pages are to do with genetics, but of unconnected items, cows, chinchillas, plants. Obviously he likes everyone to know what hes doing. I just thought the nests looked good, cheap easy, recycling, compostable, all environmentally friendly.

I didn't mean don't look at the site.
I agree the nest ideas are cheap and practical.
I just meant don't go into the dove/pidgeon genetics part if you don't have a strong stomach.
Finch section was mildly interesting and no wierd stuff.
Encouraging people to perpetrate defective feathering that prevents birds from flying etc. the guy is out of his tree.

Because I do breed Diamond doves and like the colour mutations, I went right through the dove/pigeon section.
Starts off showing you a nice mix of colours and encouraging the breeding of same. Yep OK by me.
Then goes into cross breeding different doves and pigeons, then look at this one and how its feathers go and this one and how its feet go and this one and how its eyes stick out, all the while encouraging people to join him and feed back their results.
If it was just the colours Yes. But the other, says hes a few planks short.

those planks that he is short have most likely been turned into kindling after he was smacked over the head with each piece
