I know this a finch forum. But i also breed budgies. But the weirdest thing
was when i was feeding and checking the breeding boxes. One of the budgies
has had young behind the breeding boxes. I don't know why. Has anyone else
had weird thing like this before with any other birds :?:

i had a pair of zebs, nest and raise a clutch in a green round seed hopper. there nest kept dropping as the birds ate the seed. but they fledged before i needed to refill the hopper lol.

Canarys on the seed tray behind the hopper instead of any of the available nests.

Zebra Finches on the ground under the edge of the tile that shades the water bowl when I had taken all the nests out to stop them breeding, they did this twice in a row. Yes I know I could have nicked the eggs, but they earnt their success.
