:( Well it sure won't work now. Had major fireworks here last night to fairwell the Round the World Clipper Yaught race people, and the painted hen was on the floor looking crook this morning and dead this arvo. She looks beatiful and in great nick, just dead. So I'm blaming the fireworks cause I can't see any other cause and they were the loudest B fireworks I have heard since we moved here 18 years ago (shook the picture window).

:( Sorry about the loss.

I was worried about my birds on NYE as there were a couple of parties in our street and someone with fireworks a couple of streets over. Didnt think it was legal to set them off in private gardens and especially with the extremely dry weather we have had here it would have been a fire risk.

ye old fire works can be a problem. can shake up the birds a bit i find it doesnt take much to spook a painted, even a bright orange shirt (lucky i just added the r in the last work when i read it)at 430 in the morning can do it.....i have been fortunate this year to only loose two birds myself, but this hot weather we are having i am expecting more......pete
