my gouldian is always sitting all puffed should I get her checked

Sitting fluffed up for days is not good and the causes are numerous. If you aren't familiar enough with birds to diagnose and treat problems then certainly you should get it checked professionally. If you suspect any bird is sick you should isolate it from the rest in a small cage, prefereably inside, away from other birds and that is away from highly trafficed areas. Barring heat stress warmth works wonders for many birds but since birds are very good at masking illess from the untrained eye often it's too late once you notice it. Even if your vet can not save the sick individual s/he might just save you a lot grief with your other birds by advising you what to look out for in the future or providing prophylaxis for your remaining collection.

what makes you so certain that air sac mites were the cause?
there are a lot of reasons for birds to fall off their perch, the symptoms are very similar for each problem.

In post mortem the mites will still be visable (with magnification) if you're prepared to open up your bird. Even without magnification the membranes of the air-sacs will look cloudy rather than clear and shiny. If you are certain of ASM then remember that Gouldians are particularly susceptable so it may be worth treating other Gouldians housed with it with a dose of Ivamectin or similar -particualarly any of its progeny.
