I've been looking on the net and have been doing a little bit of reading on Blue breasted cordons, apparently they are pretty rare over here. One website said something about they were avaliable in aus up until the 80's? I've never come across them, has anyone?

Undoubtedly very rare.

Here in canberra there is one pair at the Gold Creek Walk in Aviary (A public aviary, very large, heaps of finches), but I don't think the owners know what they are or what they're worth. planning a shot at buying them!

Also they're mixed in with other cordons, - red cheeks, so not sure how hybridised they are.

I think that they might well be the only ones left in Oz now.
