what size breeding cages would you all suggest making and am i better having only a pair in a cage or maybe a couple of pairs? im new to finch breeding so any advice would be muchly appreciated!
the reason im looking to make cages and not averys as im in a rental and dont have the space for averys so im limited to a few small cages!

I have two types of cages. Here are the links to the topics
I currently have one pair of gouldians in each of these long cages, the pair are able to use the full length, I only use the dividers when Im cleaning the cage.

I wouldn't put melbas in a breeding cage, as they wouldn't breed in one.

The large long flight cages are made of wood and wire fronts, the fronts were about $15 AU from memory, I got them from a local bird place. They were available in black or silver.
The cages were made by my Dad. Think the total cost was around $200 AU that was for everything, wood, wire fronts, screws, paint etc etc.
The white wire ones were bought at Cheap as Chips for $30, but that was a while ago and they were having a sale.

Jamie its easier for people to say where things are available if we know your location, no point telling you a place in perth if you live in hobart

DO NOT put more than one pair of Melbas in a cage/ aviary of any size . . . They will fight to the death . . .
