Have a good Australia Day all.
Sounds like a very good way to spend the day John.
After all it it your patriotic duty to look after the Australian wildlife (finches) on Australia Day.

No Holiday here but I did go our local school (at IRRI) and read Possum Magic for two of the classes where my daughters are and showed off the sugar gliders. They don't appreciate vegiemite so I gave them fairy bread as our national dish too. Tonight the Aussies are having a BBQ up at the compound's pool. I think we're more Aussie here than if we were at home.

Just some back from my daughters place where we have the annual family Australia Day. Everything has the flag on it, she has even put in a huge flagpole at the far end of the pool.

Family and birds, that's what it's about. ;)
