Used my time wisely......?

I put my enforced time off the forum to good use.

I "summer cleaned" out all the aviaries and cages. :D

Got all my bird records up to date. :ugeek: Im using a program just being built at the moment by a member of the forum. Its working great for me.

Then I went surfing on ebay...fatal....I bought another aviary
So yesterday was spent getting it home and cleaning and painting the wire. Its all set up waiting for new inhabitants now. Its not a deep aviary and I wasn't going to bother with it but the MOTH (man of the house) wanted to keep the canary boys I bred.
Hes been really good about all the birds, aviaries and cages etc, the taking over of "his shed", the strange nocturnal arrival of machines known as winnowers, as well as other equally strange sights and sounds.
So I deviously thought if he gets interested in a few of his own birds...... its a place to put "just a couple more" when Im short on space.

The mind boggles and long ago I was convinced us poor males didn't have a chance.
At least my wife hasn't called me a MOTH(possibly hasn't been told) plenty of other names though.

I think I have once again put my foot in my mouth and told my wife about a husbands description the MOTH.
She had a laugh and simply said that could be used in our household.
I guess I can't complain as she has no worries about the massive amount of our home site taken up by aviaries and no restrictions on my overseas travel PROVIDED she gets one really good holiday when I follow her around from one shop to another unless I can escape.

Adding another avairy, definately an appropriate way to spend ones time. :D
And getting the other half into birds, do tell me your secret. I've been trying to do that for half my life without success. We've settled for a compramise. I live with his shed full of tools etc. spilling out onto the patio, and he lives with the periodic increase in feathered friends. :)

No secret, I was just reading between the lines, he kept saying "I think those canaries are the best, listen to those canaries, oh you are selling them?"
