Don't you love this hobby??? I had 6 hatch this morning but found one of my other Gouldian hens ready to keel over this afternoon - out of the blue! I just pumped some sulfaquin into her. Any other suggestions?

Thanks Diane. All done. Fingers crossed now.

Just curious to hear what preventative measures others undertake to prevent disease in their finches. I change water every day so I don't think they could have got sick from drinking water.

Does anyone add anything to their drinking water to prevent disease?

I use moxidectin every couple of months, change water every day and have a metal roof to the aviary to keep out wild bird poop.

I just ordered Coccivet and Probiotic, all from Pets Megastore online. Lets see if that all helps to get rid of the nasties.

Well I'll be...She is coming good. I don't know if it was the Sulphadim or the shot of Raspberry juice. She is sitting upright on the perch, looking a lot brighter and eating. Still not out of the woods yet but looking a lot better. She did look 5 minutes from death yesterday. :D

I found that following the supplement guide on this site works for me and have not lost a bird since.
