It looks like I may have my first lot of chicks since I first started keeping finches courtesy of my orange breasted's. I don't want to inspect the nest but I can certainly hear nosies from the nest. Now they have hatched is there any special dietry or other considerations I should employ to ensure they fledge as normal healthy birds?

well done John!
I would suggest lots of mini - mealies, small enough for orange breasts, to keep them going.
good luck! (i.e. I'M SO JEALOUS!!!!)

Thanks Jay, just got back from Powells with some mealies, they only had Superworms but something is better than noting. I thought I would feed worms once a day say 12 - 15 each time the OB's will get their share along with the rest of the community (Cordons will guts them as usual I guess).
