my mood at present isnt good

.
a Kevin Bloody Wilson song is playing in my head and wont quit.
Song is titled 'that F*^$%ing cats back'
damn thing has so far cost me 2 pr of diamonds and 3 hen pictorellas

.
so being the kind and gentle person I am

, I put out a bowl of milk for the mongrel

.
ooooops the end fell off one of my extension leads

, positive into the bowl of milk and the negative onto a sheet of tin on which the bowl is

.
if I was allowed to use a shotgun in town I would.
some people will think I'm cruel, but that damn cat has to go

Set a humane trap Mick and get the RSPCA to pick it up once it's caught.

Can relate , and you gotta wonder why dogs owners have to abide by rule or else be fined yet cats run riot at nights and no one cares. My colourbond fence is almost raw from cats scratching the fence as they are chased out of the yard yet they know theres birds here and keep coming back.
Honestly Im the biggest softie when it comes to critters but cats in this country just dont work and if one happens to rub against a live wire then no great loss.
I have been sucked in to the odd kitten as the kids were growing up . Bit thats all stopped and I gotta admit I have had the odd one go to the vets and not come home.
Way too destructive and a perfect predator ...smart , agile , fast and can climb , no match for any small critters wild and domestic.
Maybe change tac and try and catch it , can you get a cat trap. ?? Put it into the holding cage at the furthest RSPCA to you.

I got 3 cat traps from the council last week for 1 night only, caught one cat, no collar or tags, they picked it up next morning. Not sure what happans to the cat now, but it's way better then prowling around my avaries day and night, will proberly ring the council again in a month or 2 and get traps again, to keep on top of the mongrel things!!! I am just so surprised that an enterprising chap like you has not made a cat trap in which to catch the pest, then take him for a little drive out of town and target practice.

Worked well for us before the Jack Russell took over cat removal duties.

Sheesh it is a dilemna ...you still have to be humane when dealing with the vermon...the RSPCA will try to rehome the cat but most are euthanized. Its the best thing to do coz once they start this wandering even desexing wont stop them , they would have to be worse than any other animal introduced here and the way they adapt is unbelievable , to the point of actually mutating into much larger cats ....no native bird or small mammal stands a chance .
Ive even seen them take out a brown snake.
Try and get the traps your doing your neighborhood a favour by getting rid of the cats...Then its up to your conscience what you do with them .

Tiss the season.Caught two here last night.I wanted to use the scatter gun.But my daughter got them before i could.I thought they were feral.Turned out they come from accross the paddocks about 1 km away( had a ph no on colour). The people stay there only on weekends,And leave the kittens there all week to fend for themselves. There was three,I would say a fox got one. If they keep coming back they wont be around long.Shame that some cat owners, seem to be the most irresponsible pet owners by a long shot.

Thats so wrong Gomer , it encourages them to hunt or else starve . Well going by the amount of dead(adult) foxes(roadkill) I saw today between here and Orange it looks to be a good season for Foxes so whos to say they havent got a taste for fresh cat.
Makes my blood boil when humans dont look after their pets and as Ive said b4 cats DONT belong here.

the extension lead and accessories have been put away and my yard is now safe to let the dogs back into.
am just glad I found the cat before the kids saw it, wont be bothering my birds or any others again.
next time though I will use a more humane trap to catch any mongrel felines.
but the end result would be the same. just a different method
