You want Johnson Grass and I am hitting it with Round Up.
If you plant it make sure it can't get out of control as it is very invasive.
Should you want me to dig some up and put it in pots just let me know as eventually I
should be able to get it to you.
At one stage I had it growing to a height of over 3m.
I feel that phylaris is a better idea, once it seeds it can be cut back and will seed again. It also clumps better and
is easily controlled.

Thanks E orix.
I appreciate what you are saying about it being invasive. I thought it might be structurally good for birds to nest in.
I want it for pots or at worse, placing in the ground surrounded by embedded tin as my mum taught me to do for bamboo! (Maybe I should reconsider that!) I would be just as happy with some seeds if you could be bothered posting them !!

Johnson grass proliferates by transplanting the plants roots-rhizomes.
