hecks ???

picked up a trio of hecks today, what birds is it best not to house them with.
also got a pair of yellow rumps, pair of cubans and a pair of black rumped double bars
will post pics when I get a chance.

besides the obvious masked and parsons etc in case on inter breeding i have mine with rf and sea green parroties , plumheads and diamonds......pete

My idea of good birds to keep longtails with are sparrows & minor birds (although not sure you have them over your way)
They cause enough trouble with other birds nests etc in the wild let alone in a aviary,but a lot of people do keep them best of luck.

i have had my ups and downs with them , i only keep one pair at the moment and get clutches of two, when i had 3 pair i got clutches of 4 to 5 . must be trick to it by having a few pair ...pete
